How-to guides¶
Task-focused recipes for the user-facing app. Each solves one real problem and assumes you've done Your first track.
Recording and takes¶
- Record MIDI and audio — arm, record, punch, loop-record.
- Comp, promote, and clean up takes — pick the best of several loop-recorded passes.
Arranging and mixing¶
- Arrange with the Session view — the clip-launch grid, and moving a jam into the song.
- Add insert effects and balance a mix — the mixer, effect chains, and levels.
- Route to a bus and set up a shared reverb send — aux sends and submix groups.
- Automate a parameter — keyframes, curves, and when to use an LFO or MIDI-learn instead.
Generating content¶
- Generate a clip's notes from code — script a clip's notes in Common Lisp or Python, then generate or live-drive them.
Exporting and sharing¶
- Export the mix, a range, a track, or stems — offline audio bounces from the File menu.
- Browse content and pin favorites — the browser sidebar.
- Version your project with git — history, branches, and sharing.
